About the job

ReStart is the UK’s leading healthcare integration company based in Exeter, Devon. We excel in the field of delivering Integration Services projects to NHS clients and working with other health partners and suppliers.

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a highly motivated and organised IT Project Manager who is dynamic and enjoys working in a complex, fast moving, and challenging environment, to be based in our Exeter offices. Flexibility and adaptability are key and proactively prioritising your workload with minimal direction is a crucial skill.

The Project Manager will report to the Head of Professional Services and Support and assist in managing project delivery and work as a point of contact for our consultants, partners and internal teams on select projects.

Any experience you have of working with NHS projects or partners is a real advantage but not essential – experience of managing tasks within equally pressured and complex environments is key. The post holder will work to ensure our NHS customers’ projects are within scope, budget and deadline, and to ensure communication is consistent across all parties.

The scale of integration projects will vary widely. You will balance multiple ‘business as usual’ integrations often with minimal formal project controls, to larger integration engine deployments.

This can be a fast-paced environment so the ability to multi-task and think ahead to ensure that project parameters are within given time frames is crucial. This will be a very busy and varied role, assisting and working with all members of our team and with our clients.

You must be confident communicating with professionals at all levels as you are required to balance contractual and project deadlines. You will have excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with an ability to thrive whilst working under pressure.

You will:

  • Support the delivery of bespoke integration projects, working with NHS customers / partners and internal teams to defined project scope and deliverables
  • Be the conduit between Sales and Delivery, supporting internal teams with establishing requirements and defining scope
  • Drive project profitability and contribute to resource scheduling
  • Ensure consistent communication with customers, partners and internal teams
  • Be able to represent the company’s interests to our clients including change control and managing new requirements out of scope
  • Ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline
  • Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution
  • Manage aspects of project communication and documentation to allow internal teams to focus on development

Essentials Skills

  • Excellent customer facing management and communication skills in email, calls and in person
  • Flexible working hours when required, to align with our customers projects
  • Composure to handle ‘context-switching’ as different client needs can vary quickly
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to promote efficiency and support to the internal development team
  • ReStart is a small, founder-led company, the ability to offer proactive solutions and promote a ‘can do’ mentality when needed is essential

Desirable Skills

  • Recognised project methodology
  • Technical background, with experience in managing projects within the IT sector
  • Good negotiator of scope, time and deliverables
  • Flexibility
  • Development experience
  • NHS Experience
